Alchemy 04:09
Alchemy Carole Young (c) 2011 You appear to be one thing But then prove to be another You seemed wonderful And then became my lover Yes things soon took a downward turn You could be fun/ But are full of frailties and issues I can't turn you on I am merely human Not a super being No not a super being Another fragile human Is what I am seeing I can't turn you into another If only I could extrapolate Your good qualities Then leave the rest Alchemy is not one of my strong points I am merely human Not a super being No not a super being Another fragile human Is what I am seeing

The Rain 03:52
The Rain '(Raindrops)' (c) Carole Young 2013 Falling from the sky Falling in my mind Painting different colours across the sky, beautiful Like diamonds, they shine Opaque on the window frame Whispering my name Sparkling through the years, it seems Opening the door to Many a day, many a year Nay, centuries pass us by, we wait To see if the rain will end And the sun will rise once more.

Oliver in His Jesus Sandals Carole Young C 2011 Walking along the road Oliver stops and looks around Was it the noise of the traffic Or was he just feeling sick Of the way things were? Oliver try to stay cool In the heat, He had Jesus sandals on his feet, On his feet After a few minutes His heart rate had slowed down He didn’t care anymore About the sounds Oliver felt calm again And so he strolled on To meet his friends In the heat, He had Jesus sandals on his feet, On his feet Jesus sandals (On his) Jesus sandals (On his) Jesus sandals (On his) Jesus sandals (On his)

Still Waters Run Deep Carole Young (c) 2012 Adapted by Eric Daum Still waters run deep Through the secrets we keep Memories from long ago Thoughts no one else can know We feel in our souls We were here before A memory from beyond the grave We need to know more Blood mixes with the water Cleansing our wounds The body heals the scar remains There is no thorn without the bloom We feel in our souls We were here before A message from beyond the grave We need to know more Feelings deeper than oceans Burn forever through time Dormant in each other’s arms Await the call you will be mine!

'Faith in your Convictions' Carole Young (c) 2013 It's everything we see It's everything we do No memories for me And neither for you As yet, this journey is new These promises may be untrue But given with passion Reliable, honest and alive Faith in our actions Yes, faith in these convictions? Matters untold but strong The visions take shape in song Hold fast The lantern burns brightly Navigating the route Steering this ship through the storm We must have faith in this dream Reliable, honest and alive Faith in our actions Yes, faith in these convictions?

Paragon of Virtue Carole Young (c) 2010 Land of my dreams Carried into upon these wings I am spirit I am time Too late to draw the line If I want to be happy, If I want to stay sane I must alter my course Then I will be a paragon of virtue A rocky road was upon us So I took to the skies But now I realize Changed the deck For my next game If I want to be happy, If I want to stay sane I must play a new hand Then I will be a paragon of virtue If I want to be happy, If I want to stay sane I must alter my course And I will be a paragon of virtue Unlike you...

Like in a Dickens' Novel Carole Young (c) 2011 We wander this earth, dejected Like in a Dickens' novel It's January And we're miserable - No man's land between Your death And funeral Strap on seatbelts It's bound to be a bumpy Few days We await, agitated This will soon be over And we can send you peacefully On your way We love you We miss you We wish you nothing but peace Rest easy We owe you good lives And thank you.

Symbol of Hope Carole Young (c) 2010 They came from over there A symbol of hope Showing the way The Reckoning Lesser mortals like us Can now see Just get your heart's desire Let the fire Burn brightly Then it will truly Set us free It is The Quickening

Devil On My Shoulder Carole Young (c) 2011 Since my life changed Is there anybody out there? Does anybody care? You have been the devil Sitting on my shoulders But, now, I am older Time to hit that ejector seat And if we Ever meet again I want you to regret What you did To me Who was supposed to mean So much to you The first sign of trouble You were off like a bat out of Hell Though that devil remained Constantly whispers your name Into my ear Now, it is my fate You WILL evaporate!
